
WALKING MEDITATION
THE PRACTICE
Walking meditation is a simple practice aimed at developing mindfulness, calming the mind, and learning to listen to ourselves. It requires being aware while walking and using the natural movement of walking to cultivate mindfulness and full presence. No experience is required. Accessible to all.
Walking meditation is a meditation practice. During sitting meditation, you bring your attention to the breath. In this practice, you focus your attention on body sensations. It is about "building up" your brain while walking. To take a moment for yourself, within yourself, with a focused attention on your body, and at the same time wider attention on the environment. Beyond the pleasure of enjoying the beach, of being in nature, it is about being in the present moment.
Proven today by neuroscience, mindfulness meditation has many beneficial effects on health such as improved sleep, reduced stress and anxiety, and positive effects on pain and depression. I accompany you in the discovery, initiation, and practice of meditation.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE
The hour we spend together will unfold as follows:

Brief introduction/reminder on the practice of meditation.

Instruction on walking meditation and first guided practice.

A 15-minute walking meditation in silence while enjoying the beautiful surroundings, the smell of the sea, and the sound of the waves.

Sharing of the experience.

10-minute guided walking meditation with a broader focus on the senses or another theme.

Sharing of feedback and answers to questions.
Between practices, sharing, and a bit of theory, this is a warm, authentic moment, both with your inner self and in a small group. I provide you my full presence, my listening, and my loving-kindness.
MY GUIDANCE
I am your facilitator. My name is Sonia Kofman and I am a certified business coach, specializing in emotional intelligence coaching and sharing the practice of mindfulness meditation. My background is pharmacist, so I've been navigating the world of health and well-being for thirty years. Learn more about who I am, what I do, my background, my approach, or my coaching style.

Date/time: All year round 2025, Saturdays from 9am to 10am. Winter break (2/8-3/10): additionally on Sundays, 11 a.m. Spring break (4/5-5/5): additionally on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Easter Monday 4/21 at 9am. May bank holidays: Thursday 1st, Friday 2nd, Thursday 8th, Friday 9th, Thursday 29th, Friday 30th at 9am. Whit Monday 6/9 at 9am. Summer vacations (7/5-8/31): additionally on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. All Saints' Day vacations (10/18-11/3): additionally on Sundays at 11am. Tuesday 11/11 11:30 am.

Venue of the walk: On the beach of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage. Changes are sometimes necessary depending on the weather and tides (walking in the pine forest, for example).

Meeting point: To the right of the WC in the Saint Jean 2 parking lot (seafront), at the level of the wooden boards, at the start of the Corniche road hike.

Group size: From 1 to 8 people.

Attire: Be comfortable and have your hands free for the walk. If you have a backpack, please keep it light.

I offer practices in French and English.

Prices: 20€ (standard rate) - 25€ (support rate) - 15€ (reduced rate). I let you choose according to your resources. Payment is by bank transfer on registration. I'll send you my IBAN when you register. Cash payment on arrival is possible, please let me know when you register. Unfortunately, some people register and don't show up when payment is made on the spot.

If the proposed time slots do not suit your schedule and you are interested, please contact me; I can add additional slots upon receiving multiple requests or offer specific private sessions. Please let me know the day and/or time you are interested in. You may also join the meditation sessions held at Le Touquet Golf Resort. Indoor and outdoor meditation sessions, weather permitting.
